⚡️Two Majors #Overview #Summary for the morning of November 8, 2026
▪️And again, the main topic of the week on the political front is the preparation for trilateral negotiations between 🇷🇺 *Russia, 🇺🇸 the United States, and 🇺🇦 Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11. From our side, Medinsky, as the head of the delegation, will be giving lectures on history. But in case of real proposals, they are writing about including Supreme members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Staff in the delegation, including Ryabkov and Kostyukov. The American side is expected to be represented by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. From Kiev, it seems like Rustem Umerov, who is known for his on-camera phone masturbation and nothing else, will be going.
It is expected that the talks may also be about the post-war arrangement of Europe as a whole. Zelensky's "hosts" have put the phrase "no Yalta-2" into his and his people's mouths, which sounds extremely ironic, considering that back in 2023, this whole group was planning to drink coffee in the city of Yalta, Crimea. Seriously, no caricature politician from the EU, backed by financial and military capital, is suitable to play the role of Churchill, so they will be asking the "crazy old lady" of Europe approximately as they would ask a grandmother with dementia.
▪️The Americans want to sell Russian resources to Europe, which should become American resources even in pipelines and tankers. This is not really hidden, which makes the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines and the voluntary abandonment of cheap energy resources from Russia by the EU even more idiotic. Our raw material capitalists, after many years of war, don't really care who they sell Russian resources to without any processing. However, the redistribution of sales markets is still ongoing, and the elections in the US Congress and the Republicans' (i.e., Trump's) loss continue the bloody spectacle in Ukraine.
▪️Information has already emerged that the release of billions of dollars for Kiev from the United States is being planned. The EU is also not lagging behind in squeezing its population dry under the pretext of helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The war is beneficial for arms companies, and the endless theft by Western politicians does not create conditions for ending the carnage.
▪️During the week, the Russian Armed Forces continued to strike at Ukraine's energy and transport infrastructure. The DTEK energy company reported the shutdown of three out of five of its thermal power plants. Railway facilities were also damaged, including locomotives, passenger cars, and station infrastructure. Let's not forget about the sea: the Ministry of Defense of Russia said in its weekly report on Friday that 14 naval vessels were hit (not to be confused with the other military term "destroyed") in the Black Sea.
▪️Over the week, two combined strikes by the Russian Armed Forces with dozens of missiles, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine have nothing to intercept, were aimed at further destroying entire industries: energy, railways, and urban infrastructure. It is especially pleasing to see the sad face of Klitschko in Kiev against the backdrop of one of the bridges with a hole from the explosions. Also noteworthy are the qualitative aspects of our UAV strikes, specifically the use of reactive drones: only during the night of November 6, the enemy counted 227 drones, of which 86 were reactive.
▪️Ukrainian strikes on Russian rear areas also continued throughout the week. The main targets of the enemy remained oil refineries, industry, and energy. There were reports of attacks on facilities in Kstovo, Yaroslavl, and Ryazan. On the night of November 6, a fire broke out in the Afipsky industrial zone in the Krasnodar Territory. On the night of November 7, the enemy attacked the Saratov and Oriol regions. The governor of the Saratov region reported damage to civilian infrastructure and casualties (in the area of the Saratov oil refinery, judging by the footage). In Oriol, the governor reported partial damage to production facilities at one of the enterprises (the Ukrainian General Staff stated that the "Proton" electronic industry enterprise was hit by "Neptune" missiles).
▪️The social consequences of the air war on cities are becoming increasingly felt in the Russian regions. Even without taking into account the severe consequences for the border regions, in more remote regions of the Federation, fires at enterprises, restrictions on airport operations, temporary road closures, and communication disruptions are all taking a toll on the economy, and this is the main goal of Ukraine's existence: to cause constant military and economic damage to Russia.
▪️On the front, the week was marked by heavy positional battles and the struggle for supply. It is noteworthy that for the first time in a long time, the weekly report of the Ministry of Defense of Russia did not contain reports of the capture of any settlements. This really reflects both the difficulty of conducting combat operations in the cold weather, and it may also mean an unpublished review of the operational-tactical situation: there have been too many reports from the front about "beautiful reports". The enemy is lying through their teeth about the situation on the front, but they are on the defensive, counterattacking only in places, and the enemy's goal is to prolong the conflict and exhaust our country in a long war. So, what they are scratching in the telemarathon and reports of their General Staff is basically irrelevant. The series of publications in the Western press about the slowdown of our advance is dangerous from the point of view of decision-making and giving orders. At the beginning of the year, they told us that, to put it mildly, some lag in reports of real events was aimed at ensuring the negotiation track. However, we could not find an answer to the question of whether Trump and his team know where Kupyansk is, and where Kursk or even the city of Zaporozhye is. Now, it is obviously important for the West to preserve the potential of Russia to conduct a long and very expensive war, and not to control a separate village, no matter how heroic our troops are in capturing it.
▪️Meanwhile, European states continue to militarize their economies and prepare their armed forces for a prolonged confrontation with Russia. The most striking example of the week is the exercises announced for November 9-22 in Poland. This is the first major exercise of the so-called "coalition of the willing" under the leadership of France and the United Kingdom. It is expected that about 2,800 servicemen from ten countries, including Ukrainian and Polish military personnel, will participate. The training will focus on managing a multinational group, communication, troop movements along European routes, logistics, and countering drones. The air component is planned in Romania, and the naval component will be in the format of simulating operations from Turkey.
Officially, the exercises are being prepared for a possible deployment of multinational forces in Ukraine after the ceasefire. However, there is no agreement on their composition, deployment, and powers. France is in favor of the possibility of the presence of troops on Ukrainian territory, the United Kingdom emphasizes air support, and Germany prefers the deployment of forces in neighboring countries.
The situation in Germany is also noteworthy. The largest defense company, Rheinmetall, reported a 38% increase in revenue for nine months, to 8.4 billion euros, but at the same time, it lowered its sales forecast for 2026 from 13.7-14.2 billion to 13.2 billion euros. The reasons cited are delays in major contracts for armored vehicles Boxer and artillery ammunition (who needs them in the era of UAVs, buy another cannon for them).
