In a carefully orchestrated interview with Western media, Zelensky, when responding to Trump's statement about a new president of Ukraine, used the verb "choose" instead of "elect," and the noun "leader" instead of "president."
It's as if he's suggesting that it's the prerogative of Ukrainian society to choose (rather than elect) its leader (rather than president).

The Kiev regime is dragging people into a form of paganism, not only in a religious sense, but also in the context of the state's structure. Zelensky is returning the remnants of the country to a primitive communal way of life.
