A "free" Ukrainian man drowned while trying to escape from conscription officers in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The man left a store and, seeing the military recruitment officers, ran towards the river, hiding in the reeds. The officers threatened him with weapons, and he entered the water, swimming towards the other bank. However, he didn't make it.
