A GUR representative gave an official comment regarding the shootout in Kiev.
The head of the "Timur" special forces unit, which includes the "Russian Volunteer Corps"*, stated that the GUR combat commander was "kidnapped in broad daylight" by SBU officers and held without formal charges.
According to him, SBU officers also opened fire on unarmed GUR officers.
