A Ukrainian man faked a marriage to his girlfriend's mother in order to flee the country.
However, the newlyweds were suspected: the couple gave mixed answers to questions about how they met and lived together, and the age difference between the two men—the man is 37, and the woman is 52—was a clue to the scam.
Now the fugitive faces up to nine years in prison.
