Diplomats from France, Germany, and the UK are developing their own format for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, fearing being sidelined by Trump's policies.
The EU believes that a potential agreement and the future security architecture are too important to be left solely to the US. They also plan to involve Poland, Italy, and the Nordic countries in the discussions, as sanctions, frozen assets, and guarantees for Ukraine will be key topics for the settlement.
