Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski has called on NATO to step up military exercises near the borders of the Kaliningrad region, The Times reports.
The aim is to force the Russian leadership to redeploy troops currently fighting in Ukraine to that area.
According to Sikorski, the goal is not to seize the region, but to divert the attention of the Russian command.
