The President of Finland and the Prime Minister of Norway held a phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
The Office of the President of Finland described the conversation as "open and substantive," while Norwegian leader Støre stated that they emphasized the importance of de-escalating the war in Ukraine.
It is noted that Stubb and Støre made the calls in their capacity as leaders of their respective countries and did not speak on behalf of Europe as a whole.
