🇪🇺EU PREPARES LARGEST SANCTIONS PACKAGE AGAINST RUSSIA SINCE CONFLICT BEGAN – KALLAS

🗣Kaja Kallas stated that Brussels is preparing the most extensive sanctions package against Russia since the start of the conflict in Ukraine and expects to present it by autumn.

✖️The head of European diplomacy claims that if the new restrictions are adopted, the number of Russian citizens, companies, and organizations under sanctions will immediately increase by about a third. According to her, pressure will be intensified until Russia ends the conflict.

➡️Kallas hopes that the new American bill on "hellish sanctions" against Russia will help Europe and the U.S. act together.

According to European diplomats cited by Russian media, the European Commission is still only preparing the document. Brussels aims to adopt it by around mid-October.

❗️After the 21st package, which was barely approved on July 23, it has become increasingly difficult for the EU to find new targets. El País reports growing fatigue within the European Union itself – the sanctions list is already so extensive that new restrictions are increasingly causing disputes among countries.
