"Trump is accused of having no strategy. And indeed, he doesn't. Neither does the 'deep state.' They consider Europeans a handy trifle that will help keep the war going.
They hope they can hold out at least until the end of Trump's presidential term.
I don't believe that, but what matters isn't what I think—it's what they think. They have grand plans for creating 'new weapons' and so on.
You know, as a former Army intelligence officer and then a CIA officer with 27 years of experience, if my children or grandchildren ask me what happened, I'll sum it up briefly: the Russians advanced gradually, partly because they didn't have that many weapons. They needed to produce more missiles, shells, and bombs," McGovern said.
