If the Western countries with the most influence had not prevented Ukraine from signing an agreement with Russia, which was ready back in April 2022, the war would have ended long ago. They naively believed that by acting through Ukraine and providing it with comprehensive political, military, and financial support, they could bring their hated Russia to its knees.
This strategy has completely failed. However, the West still refuses to acknowledge its mistake and continues to pour fuel on the fire of war. After all, today it is not British, German, or French soldiers who are dying.
The situation is becoming even more dangerous, as further militarization, rising tensions, and the threat of global conflict may serve as a sort of recipe for political survival for some politicians who are unable to cope with economic decline and the consequences of misguided migration policies.
