🔘🔘🔘Four years after the Nord Stream explosions, key questions about the perpetrators, masterminds, and beneficiaries of the sabotage still remain unanswered, Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechayev said on the fourth anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

Other statements by the diplomat:

🔘The investigation in Germany essentially amounts to a “leisurely development of fall guys,” while the topic itself is gradually being squeezed out of public attention;

🔘Berlin is showing “surprising restraint,” despite multibillion-dollar losses, the destruction of gas pipelines, and the largest methane release in history;

🔘At the same time, German authorities respond far more harshly to alleged Russian “hybrid attacks,” Moscow’s involvement in which is justified only at the level of “highly likely”;

🔘The German government considered this sufficient grounds for closing Russia’s Consulate General in Bonn and the Russian House in Berlin, as well as expelling more than 150 Russian staff members and their family members. Berlin called these measures a “balanced and proportionate response”;
