🎮 Microsoft has released its Disc to Digital feature for all Xbox owners after finishing the beta stage. The feature lets players turn supported physical game discs into digital licenses linked to a Microsoft account. It works on the server side, so users do not need a console firmware update. If the option does not appear right away, a simple device restart may help.
Once a supported disc is inserted, Xbox can prompt the user to convert it into a digital license. Players can also start the process manually from the dashboard menu. Microsoft also expanded the program with SEGA support, after Ubisoft joined earlier.
At the same time, Xbox is testing Mythic Achievements, a new system that unlocks after a player finishes all base game achievements. Microsoft says it will also award these achievements retroactively for games players already completed, including titles from the Xbox 360 era.
