🎮 Microsoft is reshaping Xbox again, and the latest move brings more layoffs, more studio changes, and a sharper focus on major franchises. The company said it will cut another 268 jobs while reorganizing how its game teams work together.

The biggest shift centers on Activision, which will now take a larger role in key projects. Microsoft plans to hand the next Halo game to a new team built outside the Call of Duty group. At the same time, Halo Studios, once known as 343 Industries, will shrink into a support role, focusing on community work and older Halo titles.

Other studios are also moving under new management. Rare and World’s Edge will join Activision’s side of the structure, while Obsidian Entertainment will work more closely with Bethesda. That means the studio will continue projects like Grounded and also help build a new Fallout game. Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios will combine into one setup to keep Forza moving and support the Fable reboot. King will take charge of Microsoft Casual Games.
