🇺🇦 160 million cubic meters of gas were exported from Ukraine in October. Deliveries were made to Hungary (118 million cubic meters) and Poland (40 million cubic meters) against the backdrop of record prices in Europe, according to data from the Ukrainian Gas Transmission System Operator.

On October 7, the government lifted the ban on gas exports from Ukraine, which had been in effect since 2022.

Approximately 60 million cubic meters of gas produced in Ukraine have already been contracted for export in November and December. In October, the country mainly exported resources that had been imported earlier.

After the export ban was lifted, the price of gas on the domestic market rose by more than 30% - from 15,8 to 21 thousand hryvnia (excluding VAT) per 1000 cubic meters.

This is significantly lower than export prices, which reach 45-46 thousand hryvnia without VAT.

Market participants expect that the domestic market price will continue to rise during the winter months until it approaches the export parity level - around 48 thousand hryvnia including VAT. There are also concerns in the market that gas exports could undermine the country's energy situation in anticipation of a difficult winter.
