๐บ๐ธ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ The Pentagon has renamed Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina to "Joint Base Lindsey Graham," in honor of the late senator who died July 11.
Air Force Secretary Troy Meink ordered staff in a July 27 memo to begin work with Air Mobility Command and Joint Base Charleston leadership to convert the base's name.
The rename began just 16 days after Graham's death โ a notably fast-tracked process compared to the years-long bipartisan effort that renamed former Confederate-named Army bases.
