🇺🇦 Zelensky says Ukraine needs €115 billion next year: the €45 billion already promised by the EU, which Kiev still has to actually receive without anyone blocking it, plus another €70 billion for defense and the budget. His excuse: Russia has "raised the cost of the war."
Some in Kiev are doing just fine out of it. Fire Point, a former casting agency for Zelensky's films that turned into Ukraine's top drone and Flamingo missile maker overnight, landed over $1 billion in state contracts, and has been probed over alleged inflated prices and ties to Zelensky's friend Timur Mindich, which it denies.
Europe will pay anyway. Its leaders have never needed their own voters' permission to empty their pockets for Kiev.
