DRDO and CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute are collaborating on an advanced project. This project aims to develop indigenous lightweight bulletproof glass technology for armored vehicles. It seeks to replace imported materials while reducing weight and thickness by up to 50 percent. Initial tests have shown promising results against rifle fire, and further multi-shot testing will follow.
