🇮🇳 India's plan to merge the Army, Navy and Air Force into theatre commands is ready. The blueprint now awaits approval "at the highest level", Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said in New Delhi on Friday.
"The political leadership is very clear that we have to move towards the integration of the three services into theatre commands," he said. "That process is underway."
He also said defence exports have hit a record Rs 38,424 crore, to more than 80 countries, and that DRDO missile technologies are being opened up to private manufacturers.
The plan is drawn. Now it needs the final signature.
