فتح في تيليجرام Report- A significant milestone towards enhancing Indian Navy’s underwater capabilities has been achieved with the inauguration of ‘Setting to Work Phase (STW)-2’ activity of the Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system Energy Module developed indigenously by Naval Materials Research Laboratory, DRDO. The AIP system boosts the underwater endurance of the diesel-electric submarines by reducing its dependence on atmospheric oxygen. In simple, DRDO's AIP system’s Energy Module has reached the next stage of preparation, where it is progressively readied for operation. Now in the next phase, the module will be activated to generate power and undergo rigorous testing to verify its performance and safety. After successful testing, it will be handed over to MDL for integration into a INS Khanderi, which is targeted for 2027.
