◾An Israeli settler beat elderly amputee Sheikh Saeed Al Amour as he bent down to reach his crutches on Saturday. Al Amour’s olive groves have become a frequent target for attacks, with the illegal settlement of Avigayil just a kilometre away, Channel 4 News reported in August 2025. Footage from that time shows the elderly farmer with both legs. Al Jazeera subsequently reported that Al Amour lost his right leg after being shot by settlers. In a clip originally posted on Facebook by Palestinian journalist Osama Makhramrh and translated by Al Jazeera two days ago, Al Amour explains that a settler had “cornered” a group of local children. When Al Amour confronted him, the settler struck his back “with a pipe”.
