◾In the immediate aftermath of the 1967 Six-Day War, Israeli soldiers spoke with unusual honesty about what they had done and the orders they had received. In recordings later featured in the documentary Censored Voices, soldiers described their experiences during the fighting in Gaza and the West Bank. These testimonies were recorded shortly after the war, before the official victory narrative had fully taken shape. At the time, much of this material was censored and kept from the public. The war lasted only six days, but its consequences—mass displacement, military occupation, and the moral questions raised by the soldiers who fought it—continue to resonate to this day.
