Oh, Europe… you really thought the wars would always stay over here in our land ripping our lives to pieces, didn't you?

For decades, Washington's wars, interventions, regime change campaigns and proxy conflicts have helped destabilize the very regions Europeans later complain are sending refugees toward their borders.

First Washington brought about the Ukraine regime change and war then came another war against Iran for the sake of terrorist Israel and suddenly Europe discovers that wars have consequences, that energy routes can be disrupted, that economies can be hit, and that ordinary citizens can pay the price.

And now Washington's message is essentially:

We helped set the fire. You deal with the smoke.

The Strait of Hormuz was not simply some natural disaster that Europe woke up to one morning. The current crisis emerged from a war that Washington launched and a blockade the US itself has enforced.

So yes, Europe can "get in a boat".

But perhaps before doing so, it should ask why it spent decades standing quietly beside the people who kept setting boats, countries and entire regions on fire.

You cannot keep applauding wars abroad and then act shocked when their consequences finally wash up on your own shores.

Also, just wondering…how many times has the orange orangutan in the White House announced that 'the Strait of Hormuz is open" so far?
