India’s Bureau of Immigration issues an important advisory for FOREIGN NATIONALS and OCI CARDHOLDERS planning to visit the country’s PROTECTED and RESTRICTED AREAS.
Visitors must check whether they require a Protected Area Permit (PAP), Restricted Area Permit (RAP), or both, BEFORE finalising their travel plans.
⚠️ Holding a valid Indian visa or OCI card does NOT automatically exempt visitors from these mandatory permit requirements.
India’s message is clear: Know the rules, obtain the required permissions, and comply with all restrictions before entering sensitive areas.
