Republicans Turn Against Pete Hegseth After Midterm Election Rout; Impeachment Threat Looms
Republicans are increasingly blaming US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth for the party’s crushing midterm defeat, accusing him of persuading President Donald Trump to launch the Iran war without a clear exit strategy.
Republican Congressman Thomas Massie has threatened to push for Hegseth’s impeachment unless he resigns, with a House vote potentially coming next week. Meanwhile, Trump has publicly defended Hegseth, saying he is doing a “very good job".
Republicans found their bali ka bakra to be sacrificed.
