Wife of Indu Prakash Mishra, Who Hosts Astrology Show 'Bhavishyavani', Loses MLC Polls

Smita Mishra, wife of astrologer Acharya Indu Prakash Mishra, lost the Lucknow Graduate constituency MLC election to Samajwadi Party candidate Kanti Singh.

Contesting as an independent candidate, she reportedly secured fewer than 300 votes. Her husband has hosted the popular astrology programme Bhavishyavani since 2007. Smita had joined Congress in September, but the party did not give her a ticket.
