💢 ICYMI: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi praised Xi Jinping’s initiatives during his visit to Beijing, saying they reflect a more accurate understanding of global affairs than Western approaches, which he described as suffering from analytical weakness.
China reiterated its support for Iran’s legitimate rights and interests, opposition to military escalation, and continued economic engagement with Tehran despite US pressure. Araghchi also backed Xi’s regional security initiatives and a greater Chinese role in Middle Eastern affairs.
Iranian state TV presented the talks as further evidence of the depth of the China-Iran strategic partnership, arguing that even Xi’s upcoming meeting with Trump in Washington would not negatively affect bilateral ties.
