There's a book by Dr. Seuss called The Butter Battle Book, and it's about two peoples that are identical.
They're identical in every way, but one people puts their butter on the top side of the bread and the other people butter their toast on the bottom side. And because of that, they're at war for centuries and generations.
It's also about an arms race, so it's also kind of about the Cold War. Dr. Seuss is trying to teach kids about the never-ending cycle of violence and arms races.
