In Germany, healthcare facilities are preparing for a potential military conflict with Russia and a large influx of casualties, according to Bloomberg. According to the Bundeswehr's scenario, in the event of a conflict between Russia and NATO, German hospitals could receive up to 1,000 wounded soldiers daily.
To cope with the potential strain, the military plans to reopen a medical bunker that dates back to the Cold War era. Civilian hospitals are also preparing for a potential surge in patients: they are conducting drills for handling a large number of casualties and exploring how to convert underground parking garages into protective shelters.
