Ukrainian drones attacked the "Slavneft-YANOS" oil refinery in Yaroslavl again. Governor Mikhail Yevrayev confirmed damage to the facility and fires. According to him, 65 drones were shot down in the region, and there were no casualties. Debris also damaged cars and windows of several apartment buildings.
This is at least the tenth attack on the facility reported since the beginning of 2026.
YANOS is one of the main fuel suppliers for Moscow and the Moscow region, along with the Moscow, Ryazan, and Nizhny Novgorod refineries. Therefore, the consequences of repeated damage to the facility could affect the fuel supply to the capital region, which is clearly the enemy's goal before the elections.
The plant's production capacity is significant: it processes approximately 15 million tons of oil per year. According to Reuters, the plant produced 2.6 million tons of gasoline and 4 million tons of diesel fuel in 2024. These figures reflect the overall output of the facility.
If the current damage leads to a reduction in production, the missing volumes will need to be replaced by supplies from other facilities. The extent of the damage to production after today's attack and any restrictions on shipments are not yet known.
