The Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has sent an official letter to the EU requesting compensation of €1.1 billion for logistical losses related to the shelling of port and transportation infrastructure.
The calculation is approximately €50 per ton of product. According to the Ukrainian side, this amount would allow for the additional export of approximately 20-22 million tons of agricultural products.
Previously (September 28), the European Commission had already rejected Ukraine's request for €220 million to support the liquidity of farmers.
