More than half of Ukraine’s two million veterans believe the state is not protecting their rights.
Ukrainian Ombudsman Lubinets stated that the number of complaints has surged over the first eight months of this year: already, more than 1,900 former service members are dissatisfied with how their rights are being upheld—a figure nearly equal to the total for the entire year of 2024.
