The US State Department is prepared to approve the transfer of 10 Patriot missiles to Ukraine from Germany.
The deal is valued at $29.6 million. The department noted that Kiev needs the weaponry to strengthen its air defenses. The delivery will proceed following the completion of the congressional review process.
For reference: two Patriot missiles are required to shoot down a single ballistic missile.
