⛴️Two oil tankers were damaged and caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz after striking naval mines, Iranian news agency Mehr reported, citing the IRGC
✍️According to the IRGC, both vessels were following a route that had not been approved by Tehran. One tanker struck a mine in the eastern part of the strait, while the other did so directly within its waters. The Iranian side claimed that the vessels had disabled their navigation and identification systems and attempted to pass through a prohibited area with the support of U.S. forces, after which they hit mines and were forced to stop.
The IRGC also confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, stating that the situation would not change until seven conditions previously proposed to the United States by Iran are fulfilled.
