๐ฎ๐ณ DGCA Mandates Two Pilots for Char Dham Helicopter Flights After Crash Kills Six
DGCA has mandated two pilots on every helicopter operating Char Dham charter flights from Nov 2, following a crash in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district that killed six people.
The new rules also require co-pilots to be qualified for hilly terrain, prior destination and en-route clearances for every flight sector, and post-flight pilot reports.
However, 11 helicopter operators have threatened to suspend services, arguing that the additional requirements would make operations financially unviable.
