Ex-Accountant Sets Surat Textile Market Ablaze Over ₹10,000 Dues

Former accountant Vinod Salve was arrested for allegedly setting fire to Surat’s Shyam Sangini textile market over ₹10,000 in pending salary.

Police said he poured petrol on textile parcels before igniting them, causing losses estimated at ₹24 crore. Salve reportedly fled to Rajasthan and Ayodhya before returning to Surat, where he was arrested.
