🇪🇺💣Europe is increasing the production of cheap cruise missiles

🇳🇱The Dutch company Destinus has announced the production of 1,750 Ruta B1 cruise missiles (drone missiles) in 2026 and plans to produce another 300.

The company manufactures the key components (engine, hull, avionics, navigation) independently.

The missile has a range of more than 300 km, a speed of about 980 km/h and carries a warhead of 150 kg.

In April 2026, the production capacity was expanded by creating a joint venture in Germany (plant in Unterluss) between Rheinmetall and Destinus - Rheinmetall Destinus Strike Systems.

The Ruta range is also represented by more advanced options:
◾️Block 2 – 700 km range, warhead up to 250 kg, container launch, improved stealth;
◾️Block 3 – claimed range up to 2000 km, warhead 250 kg; flight tests were planned for 2027.

These missiles have been supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2024 (according to some estimates , about 700 units) . worth 500 million dollars). Their use was confirmed by Western analysts in July 2026. An increase in the supply of these missiles to Ukraine is expected, including in new, more long-range, low-visibility and deadly configurations.
