🌐 Firefox 155 is out, and Mozilla has also updated its extended support branches. The release starts a new two week build cycle, which should bring features to users more often and make releases more predictable. Firefox 156 has moved into beta and is scheduled for September 15.

The new version expands Smart Window to users in the United States, Canada, and France. It adds AI prompts for earlier topics, faster source citations with exa.ai, better tab group suggestions, and automatic tab group names. Firefox also now shows blocked tracker counts in the address bar for some users, and it lets users reorder containers in settings.

Firefox 155 adds developer and platform updates, including CSS emulation tools, JSON Lines support, new CSS functions, Promise.allKeyed, WebAssembly improvements, QUIC v2 support, and WebTransport updates. On Android, Firefox improves toolbar editing and tab group handling. Mozilla also fixed 109 vulnerabilities, many tied to memory bugs that could let an attacker run code on specially crafted pages.
