Ra’am Chairman Mansour Abbas, responding to briefings regarding the investigation of Arab party leaders:
“The attempt to tarnish the reputation of the Arab public is unacceptable. Neither I nor any of my fellow Ra’am members fear any investigation, and we are prepared to appear before any law enforcement authority, in accordance with the directives of the Attorney General and the judicial system, which have proven time and again that they are bound by the law and not by other political actors.
I demand that state authorities respect the will of the voters, act with statesmanship and responsibility toward all citizens, and uphold the law and the established procedures of governance.”
